DaylightThe licence
Daylight is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). The Standard EULA is the agreement between you and the developer, Path Integral (“we”, “us”). These terms add to it. Where the two conflict, these terms apply to the extent the law allows.
Daylight Pro
Daylight is free to download. Daylight Pro is an optional in-app purchase that unlocks extra features, which are listed in the app and on our home page. There is a single Pro tier, available three ways:

Prices are set through the App Store and shown in the app, in your local currency, before you confirm. The price shown at the moment you buy is the price you pay. Lifetime and Yearly are available to your Family Sharing group.
How subscriptions work
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
- A subscription renews automatically at the same price and for the same period, unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions on your iPhone, or in the App Store under your account. If you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
- If you start a subscription during a free trial, any unused part of the trial ends when you buy.
- If we ever change a subscription price, Apple will notify you in advance and, where the law or Apple's rules require it, ask for your consent before you're charged the new price.
When Pro ends, your writing stays
If a subscription ends, you keep everything you created. Entries, tags, photos, templates and history remain on your device and readable. Pro features simply stop being available for new use. We will never lock your existing journal behind a payment.
Restoring purchases
Pro is tied to your Apple Account, not a Daylight account. On a new or reset iPhone, open the Daylight Pro screen in the app and tap Restore purchases.
The Founder promise
Lifetime purchases made during the launch window include all future Daylight Pro features. The launch window ends at 00:00 UK time on 2 November 2026. A Lifetime purchase is not a subscription, and we will not ask Lifetime owners to pay again for Pro features.
Features that are free today will stay free.
Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple, and we can't issue refunds ourselves. To request one, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Your content
Everything you write, photograph or record in Daylight belongs to you. We don't have access to it and claim no rights in it. Because it's stored only on your device, you're responsible for keeping backups, for example through iCloud Backup or by exporting entries. We can't recover data from a lost or reset device.
Not advice
Daylight is a journal and planner. Moods, patterns, prompts and guided practices are tools for reflection. They are not medical, psychological or professional advice, diagnosis or treatment. If you're struggling, please speak to someone you trust or a qualified professional. Sun, moon and tide times are calculated or sourced for general interest and must not be used for navigation or safety decisions.
Changes and availability
We may update Daylight to add, change or retire features. The tide feature depends on a third-party data provider and our own server, and it may occasionally be unavailable. We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we'll say so in the app's release notes, and continuing to use Daylight after an update means you accept the new terms.
Liability
Daylight is provided as described in the Standard EULA. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
